Missed a session

Missed runs happen. RunBuddy keeps the week balanced instead of making you catch up.

What happens to a missed session

A session is completed when a workout of the same sport lands on the same day. If none does, the session counts against your plan adherence once its day has passed. Nothing is moved automatically. Strength sessions never count against adherence.

Don’t double up

Squeezing a missed workout into the next day stacks two hard days and raises injury risk. Usually the right move is to let it go and keep the rest of the week as planned.

Ask the coach to rearrange

The coach can move sessions, swap a hard day for an easy one, or shorten the week. It checks your readiness and recent load before suggesting anything.

“I missed Tuesday’s intervals. Can you rearrange the rest of my week?” Ask your coach

If it keeps happening

Missing the same day every week usually means the plan doesn’t fit your schedule. Tell the coach which days work. It remembers, and future weeks are built around them.
